My Little Man
Dec 02, 2002
My Josh, Where can I start with him? Josh was 19 when the car accident happened, April of 2000. Josh was (of course I'd think so) one of the most handsome young men there ever was. I always told him I could see clear to his soul through his beautiful blue eyes. Josh was my rock, I always called him "My Little Man", he always watched out for me from the time he was a little boy. Josh was one of those babies that people stopped me every where I went to tell me how beautiful he was, always smiling. He was VERY popular and everyone loved him. I don't know what he was doing in the car with this guy but the driver was drunk and was speeding and well, the rest is history. The driver spent less than a year in prison, got out on good behavior, ironic, uh? Josh called me at 11:08PM on April 17th, told me to leave the back door unlocked because he'd forgotten his key, I told him I was going to wait up a while so we could have one of our late night talks as we did so often, I finally went to bed, at 5:00AM there was a knock at the door, that's when my whole life changed. Not just my life but his Dad and siblings life also. Thank goodness me and Josh said I love you when we spoke on the phone as we always did. Josh loved to sing, he was in Show Choir in High School, had the voice of an angel. Josh is truely missed by all. Josh, we love you and someday we will all be together again!!! Love, Mommy PS- I keep a note box out at the cemtery for everyone to write notes in, I got a beautiful bench for a headstone (I hate that word), I go out there and sit a lot. I put up a small Christmas tree instead of a blanket out there.
