All Because Of A Gene

this is the first time i've visited your site. i've never sought out others who've experienced miscarraiges- I get so sad hearing other stories. I want to hear of all the happy endings! All the women who, after tremendous loss and hardship, were able to have a healthy child. So, I'm not sure i'm in the right place. I would like to share some of my story because it may help someone else. I have a strange cause to my miscarraiges- a gene that controls placental development is faulty. My babies are fine, but the placenta is abnormal. My lossers occur around 14 weeks-when the placenta takes over fully. Everything else is fine. The babies are always perfect little people (yes, I've seen some of them- don't let the docs tell you that you can't see them if you are up for it). There's no way to fix it, except to change the bad gene. We've continued trying for several years because we have a daughter (from our first pregnancy) so the doctors keep saying maybe we'll get lucky again-it is possible since we have her.
Anyway, just wanted to pass on the placenta info to anyone who may not be able to figure out what the cause is and who might fit the same profile.
If anyone has any similar stories or motivation to keep going, I'd appreciate it.
