Bringing a palette of colors to the sky.
A new day dawns with a clean canvas.
This is a simple joy in my life.
A unexpected phone call from a friend,
A sharing of fellowship
A visit with a special friend,
These are the simple pleasures.
The flicker of a candle flame,
Glowing brightly in the night.
The glow of a fire on a cold winter's eve.
These are the simple things that bring comfort to my soul.
Good music, good books,
A quiet evening to just reflect,
Watching the softly falling snow.
The smell of a fresh rain, simple joy.
A purring cat when you don't feel well,
The warming aroma of a cup of tea.
Hot soup on a cold winter day,
Truly simple joys.
When life becomes too much to bear,
I look to the simple joys.
I reflect and look at what is most important in life,
Surely the simple joys.
Time to commune with God,
Time to spend with friends.
These are life's most important joys,
And I will cherish and give thanks for them.
