Drugs are not a panacea.
They kill.
People make choices,
Their lives are ruined by drugs.
What is the draw of drugs?
The ultimate price is too high.
You pay with your life.
Is it really worth a high?
Just one more hit, then I'll stop.
But wait, that hit can kill.
Is it worth the risk you take,
Knowing that it could be the last?
Dark days of living, high after high.
Nothing else matters anymore.
Endless treatment, but short recovery,
The lure pulls you in yet again.
Why in the world would you ever begin?
Did you really believe it could be controlled?
I'll just try it this once, I won't get hooked.
Now it is too late, the drugs killed.
