Farewell to old friends
Time to search out new.
I have grown past old friendships.
I see what is truly important in life.
They do not realize.
I have moved into uncharted territory.
It is a very dangerous place,
My friends cannot join me there.
They must stay in a safe place.
I face the world unprotected.
I move cautiously,
So many new hurts.
Friends no longer call.
I must venture out into the world
And seek new friendships.
It hurts so bad
Our friendship was not what I thought it to be.
I wander through a maze of grief,
So alone and so confused.
I am rejected once again.
