Feelings Locked Away

I lock away my feelings.
People do not want to see them.
I am in an uncomfortable place.
I must smile and pretend tht things are fine,
But, they are not.
I have days of overwhelming sadness.
They hit me when I least expect it.
I feel like I am losing ground slowly gained.
It is so very hard to move backwards
When forward is where you need to go,
But, backward days happen.
I have more good days than bad.
They give me hope for the future.
I feel like I just might make it.
I will survive this heartbreak
But, I know I'm going to be okay.
