Silent Grief Retreat - October 2008
Posted By Clara Hinton | Jan 06, 2008
The first Silent Grief Retreat will be taking place on
the weekend of October 10 – 12, 2008 at Camp
Allegheny, a Christian Camp and Retreat Center,
in Pennsylvania, located just 5 minutes away from
the memorial site for Flight 93. For more details
about the camp, visit www.campallegheny.org .
This Silent Grief Retreat is for all parents who have
gone through the pain of child loss and are seeking a
place of support, a way of making lifetime friendships,
and a time to create a Memorial Board in honor of the
children that are no longer here with us.
The speakers for the Retreat are Clara Hinton, author
of the book Silent Grief, and administrator of the
website www.silentgrief.com . Jimmy Hinton, M. Div.,
son of Clara Hinton, will be speaking about the Spiritual
aspect of why God allows such pain and suffering. Jimmy
will also be leading a session on relaxation techniques, and
he will be leading the morning devotional service on Sunday.
As a special bonus to the Retreat, transportation will be
provided to the Flight 93 Memorial Site where a special
service will be held for Silent Grief Retreat participants.
There will be ample free time and special sessions for
getting to know one another on a personal level, as well
as time to explore the trails at the campsite and take in
the beautiful scenery of the Laurel Mountains.
Registration forms will be available online the first week
in February. There is limited space for 100 participants,
so please mark this date on your calendars now.
I’m looking forward to spending a wonderful, healing
weekend with you in October!
Love,
Clara
