Death: The Unwelcomed Guest

Here's a poem I wrote that maybe someone else can relate to...

Death: The unwelcomed guest

Once growing fast inside,
Now I'm told no longer resides.
What could have happened unsuspectingly
That could steal my baby away from within me?

Now I strive from day to day
To be satisfied with what they say.
I know I loved her, though so small,
But for now, I seek to feel joy at all.

I'm told it was not any fault of mine,
But I don't know if that's true or just a line.
No one knows what to say to me,
And most of my pain is neither shared nor seen.

After an undefined time, I am told I will see
That all this happened for a purpose and I can let it be.
As I now face life after my tremendous loss,
I know I must survive for my family at any cost.
