The Music of Death

The Music of Death
LindaC

The music of death
Cold harsh notes gliding
Into a crescendo of grief
Set in a minor key.

Death is a song of anguish.
It is a refrain of never ending pain.
Cold and harsh we hear the notes.
The pain beats into our brain.

When will this song end?
When will our hearts hear melodies of joy?
The Great Composer will heal us.
We will hear life's music once again.
